In the world of website hosting, Weebly is an up-and-comer. It has become one of the most popular website builders on the market because of its flexible drag-and-drop blog creation feature giving customers the freedom to build what they want, the way they want it. Although Weebly has a lot of fantastic features, publishing online courses and managing them is not a part of it. Hosting an online course on Weebly can be tough. Users have the option to take advantage of their platform called Weebly for Education wherein users can create and manage classes. Users of this particular platform also have teacher accounts that they can sign up for free. However, they have made an announcement to discontinue this platform by August 1, 2022, forcing teacher accounts to look for other options to create and manage their classes on Weebly.
If you’re an existing Weebly user with a teacher account or simply a user who is interested in hosting online courses via Weebly, we have great news for you! Our new Learning Management System: Owwlish lets you exactly do this!
Before proceeding with the steps below, ensure that you have already created your course in Owwlish. It’s so easy and straightforward. You only need to outline your course lessons beforehand and simply organize them in Owwlish. You also have the option to add photos and videos making your course more engaging!
HOST YOUR OWWLISH ONLINE COURSE ON WEEBLY
Step 1: Create a new personal Weebly website

Technically Owwlish does integrate with Square Online’s business websites, however there are some limitations. Please reach out to us if you’d like some guidance on using a business site.
Step 2: Add code to the Footer of Your Weebly Site
Given that you have already created your Weebly site, go to Edit Site and click on Settings from the top navigation menu. On the Settings page, select SEO and find Footer Code, this is where you will paste the Owwlish script.

Note: To get your unique Owwlish script, reach out to Owwlish support team.
The following is the code format of the script:
<script>var owwlish_id = 'XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXX';</script>
<script src="https://app.owwlish.com/integration/js/embed.js"></script>
In the format above, XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXX is the client ID we will be providing to you.
Step 3: Inserting Your Course into Any Page of Your Site
- Navigate to the Weebly website builder, select Pages in the main navigation, and hit the plus (+) icon to create a new Standard Page. Name it the name of your course

- Open the newly created page in Weebly builder and switch to the Build option in the main navigation.

- Drag and drop the Embed Code block from the sidebar onto your newly established blog page. Select the block you just made and then click Edit Custom HTML.

- While you’re in the editing mode, copy the code format below and paste it into the custom HTML area:
<div id="oww-embed-course-XX”></div>

XX in the code above stands for the course ID of your Owwlish course, which you can easily grab by going to your Owwlish courses -> specific course you would like to embed in your Weebly page and then grabbing the number at the end of the course’s URL.

Step 3: Publishing Your Page
Proceed by clicking on the Publish button at the top navigation menu and you will get a confirmation message with the URL of your site where you can view your Course page.
